Driven by the benefits of economy-of-scale, the semiconductor industry is following its technology roadmap and moving to 450mm wafers. In the heart of Silicon Valley, WRS Materials-San Jose, CA facility is the ideal location for our expansion of 450mm capabilities to serve this emerging market. Complimenting our established services for 300mm and smaller diameter wafers, we are proud to announce our NEW 450mm services.

To accommodate this increasing demand WRS Materials has secured strategic partnerships and is ready to supply the industry with 450mm wafers of different grades. Today these are mechanical and test wafers, with prime wafers to follow soon.

In addition, WRS Materials is able to provide thermal oxidation service on 450mm using a recently installed furnace. WRS Materials has an exclusive vendor relationship that currently allows us to offer Electroplated CU, CVD Tungsten, and PECVD Dielectric with more films in development.

Due to the high cost of these wafers in the beginning phase of the 450mm market, the reclaim process will play a critical role in reducing the overall cost of the initial investment. WRS Materials is ready to help our customers with 450mm reclaim capabilities in 24 hour turnaround time.
