Wafer Management System

Among the most distinctive features of the customized services offered by WRS Materials are the wafer management systems that we build for our individual clients.  This online portal allows the customer to purchase products via the Web, to track the progress of wafers under development, to see when the products are shipped and the status of the delivery schedule, and to determine the delivery point of the order—whether it be the customer’s site or a WRS facility that stores the customer’s inventory.

We build a customized system for each qualified company that purchases our products, even providing technology staffing at the customer site to place the system in operation.  From that point, the wafer management system is easy for the customer to use.  Equipped with a user name and password, the customer can log into the system to order or track products, each of which the system follows through barcode labels.

The wafer management system stores all the customer part numbers with their descriptions and current pricing.  Furthermore, the system produces a variety of reports to detail customer purchases: 

  • Summary reports display total purchases, listed by each part number and by month.
  • Detail reports show purchases within a timeframe selected by the customer, allowing the customer to drill down to individual purchases shown by inventory ID, date and name of the purchaser.
  • Departmental summaries can be created when purchases are grouped according to the customer’s internal department structure.
  • All reports can be exported to PDF and Excel formats.

The WRS Materials wafer management system is built on multiple levels of security.  The customer’s administrator is able to create accounts and assign rights for users, and separate administrators can be designated for each department.   Reports display summaries and details only for the department authorized to view this data.
